Osler Desouzart President, OD Consulting, Market Planning & Strategy Osler Desouzart former a member of the advisory board of the World Agriculture Forum and has his own consulting company, OD Consulting, Market Planning & Strategy, with clients in different countries of the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia. Desouzart has spent most of his professional career in the international marketing of meats, having worked for the largest pork and poultry industries in Brazil (Sadia & Perdigão) heading their foreign trade departments. He was involved in the growth of Brazilian meat exports and has held positions in several different professional associations, such as ABEF (Brazilian Poultry Exporters Association) and ABIPECS (Brazilian Pork Meat Industry Association). He has given lectures throughout the world and participated in numerous professional congresses to share his opinion on international trade and competition in the agro-food business. He has also lived and worked in Spain, France and Switzerland in international trade roles. Desouzart received his law degree from the State University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; a marketing degree from the Escuela de Alta Dirección y Administración, Madrid, Spain; an MBA from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; and an MBA in total quality management from Fundação Dom Cabral, Belo Horizonte, MG, Brazil. He has been published by the FAO and has been awarded by the ABPA for his contribution to the international trade of meats.
