James D. Chapman Senior Research Leader of Collaborative Research, Phibro Animal Health Corporation

James D. Chapman, Ph.D. is responsible for the execution and coordination of ruminant research with Phibro Animal Health’s nutritional specialty products. Prior to this assignment Dr. Chapman served as the Director of Research and Technical Services and was responsible for the leadership and direction of the overall dairy nutritional specialty products research and product development programs and technical support activities both in the United States and internationally. Jim has worked in the private sector, as the technical development director for a start-up US-based company, as director of nutrition for a regional feed company and served on the faculty of a university in Texas in research and teaching capacities. Jim holds Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in animal science and animal physiology from Texas Tech University and a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Georgia in ruminant nutrition and physiology. Dr. Chapman has authored and co-authored more than 85 technical articles, peer-reviewed scientific publications and popular press articles and has served on the advisory board of several nutrition conferences and professional organizations.
