TiLV Lake Tilapia Virus: Prevention Strategies and Tools in Israel

In Israel, since August 2009, spontaneous mortalities of tilapia began to be observed in reservoirs and breeding ponds. It was not until 2014 that an emerging viral disease responsible for the mortalities was identified. At present, tilapia producers in Israel managed to develop a protocol to maintain the tilapia production that existed before the virus.
