Tilapia lake virus (TiLV) infection is an emerging disease with a high impact on tilapia production systems, particularly those for generating genetic material (fingerlings). Taking into account that in Latin America we have the main tilapia producing countries in the world, it is important to know the status of the infection, as well as the management activities that have been implemented so far to prevent its entry into the farm and in case of having the infection to manage the health problem.
